RC Groups Discussion - E-starter built and maiden: "I,ve put radio gear back into my e-starter this mourning since retiring her around July. This time used a gws 350, C gear and a master airscrew 9 x 7 prop with a collet adapter, cutting the gws prop shaft off at the threads. TP-2100 2s LI-Po for power. 'NOW WERE TALKIN' FASTER AND LIGHTER. Some advice, make the landing gear a friction fit into the plastic LG mount, this way the gear can pull out instead of tearing out, forget about the tail wheel and use a tailskid , made mine from 1/32 plywood. never has failed. An aircraft in flight has no purpose for a small wheel. After you feel comfortable with alerons, cut the wing at the center and reduce the dihedral to about 2 or 3 degrees, this will really quicken up the aleron responce, but be forwarned, you'll have to bring her out of a bank by appling opisite aleron, since removing the dihedral also removes the self righting characteristic of the stock wing, but gives much improved manouverability. Make your changes one at a time and only when you feel you need more out of this plane. I've found it to be durable and a good flyer, you did'nt need the bamboo in the rear fusalage, never broke mine there, but plenty elsewhere. Use stripes of scotch tape to stiffen her up where you think it needs it, wing and rear fuse. also crank in as much rudder as you can, its small and needs it. my 2-c"
